Middle of the week- it's Wednesday!

Phonics:

Recapping letter sounds: Please recap your letter sounds and actions every day.

Daily Zoom session: 

Miss Hunt will show some er objects and pictures. Can you find the er flashcard that matches and hold it up? Then we will write the er words to match the picture on PowerPoint. Then we'll play a spot tricky word game! Our tricky words this week are: my, her, into, you. 

 

Follow-up activity: 

Play Dragons Den blending game on Phonics Play- phase 3, + ‘er’, or your grown-up can enter some of your 'er' words from the flashcards you made and some made-up er words to sort. (Free log in)

 

Writing:

Make some tricky word flashcards with our new words; my, you, into, her.

Then choose from:

Flashcard Passwords (with er word flashcards, read to enter)

Building a Sentence (with er and other flashcards)
Extra challenge: Can you write the sentence you build in your exercise book?

 

Hand Writing:

Challenge: Long ladder letters; t, j

Practice writing these letters 6-10 times each in your exercise book. Can you think of a word that starts with 't'? Can you think of a word that start with 'j'? Write them underneath your handwriting.

If you struggle with pencil control, please practice some pre-writing patterns like those below in resources.

Please read with your child every day!
