Friday

HOORAY! It's Friday!

Well done all of you - I am so incredibly proud of you all. 5 weeks and 4 days of home learning for most of you - and now it's time for a well deserved week off.

I hope you all have a restful and wonderful half term. Take a break from the screens and go have some fun!

Today's timetable looks like this:

These are suggested times (apart from the Zoom lessons), so fit your learning in when works best for you and your family.

English

Today's lesson is all about the importance of editing and redrafting our work to make sure it is the very best it can be. We are going to use a BBC Bitesize lesson to help us do this - don't panic - I'm not going to be asking you to redraft your biographies today!

Watch the 2 videos and have a look at the tips and advice.

Then have a go at activities 1,2, and 3 in your book - DO NOT DO ACTIVITY 4.

Activity 1 - this is all about editing to correct mistakes.

Activity 2 - this is all about editing to improve and make sentences more exciting/interesting.

Activity 3 - this is all about different ways we can edit sentences.

Maths.....but ARTY maths

Today Year 6, I would like you to have a go at this last optical illusion. It uses maths skills (like drawing straight lines with your ruler accurately), but I thought it would be a fun way to end the term. Start the video from about 2 minutes in - otherwise you'll be listening to a lot of talking first!

Art Lesson Online: Op-Art! Make Mind-Boggling patterns at home or in the classroom. It's so simple!

Reading

Log on to LBQ and have a go at the comprehension exercise. The code today is:
